My mum has been seeing Karen for her mobility issues. My mum was bed-bound since returning home from the hospital (as she couldn’t get any physio in hospital due to covid outbreak). After seeing Karen, my mum has been improving significantly and I am so happy that she can walk again! I highly recommend anyone to see Karen and her team.

Karen from HealthJoy came out to assess Dad for a new walker. Wow what a really nice girl. Karen was very thorough in her assessment and made Dad feel very at ease during the assessment process. Karen really knows her stuff. Thank you for the advice on what we can do to make life easier for Dad and to make life comfortable for him in his Autumn years.
Daniel W
The physio visit with Davy for my daughter far exceeded my expectations and filled me with trust and faith in his experience and ability. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and had exceptional communication skills. My daughter has developmental disability, mild cerebral palsy, and multiple sclerosis. She always felt tired and was inactive. But after seeing Davy, my daughter was becoming more motivated to do exercise, and able to walk for a longer distance. Thank you for the help from Davy and the staff in HealthJoy.

Bonus Tips for getting more out of your Mobile Physiotherapy session

Physiotherapy is a commitment on the parts of both your physio and you. You’ll be spending a good deal of time and energy on your treatment and rehabilitation, so you want to achieve the best outcome possible.

Here are some of the hot tips that help you get the most out of your physiotherapy.

Movement Optimisation Tip #1: Come prepared

When you first meet with your Mobile Physio, be prepared with all the information that they will need: What your main concerns are, what your goals are from the physiotherapy, when your pain started, what led to you to go to the hospital (if applicable), what led to you having surgery (if applicable), , what medications you are taking, and so on.

Movement Optimisation Tip #2: Show up

Making appointments with HealthJoy Home Visit Physiotherapy won’t do you any good if you don’t show up to us. Make physiotherapy a priority and be there for every appointment unless you are sick or have an emergency. How quickly you progress will depend partly on how regularly you attend your sessions and how committed you are to your treatment.

Movement Optimsation Tip #3: Do your simple and easy home exercise

Most patients will need to do some little work on their own apart from their regular appointments. Your physio will prescribe exercises designed to improve muscle strength and flexibility – when performed regularly over time. If you don’t follow these directions, it can be impossible to tell why your symptoms aren’t improving or identify adjustments that your treatment plan may need.

You have two options now

Option 1:

You try to guess what may be working on your movement or pain. Try to do your own research and guess what methods may work to improve your conditions. Praying and hoping you may get better one day, while risking the injury getting worse and worse. Waste time, money, and energy!

Option 2:

Take action and schedule an appointment with HealthJoy Home Visit Physiotherapy. Our physiotherapists will provide you with an exceptional therapy that will improve your movement and reduce your pain so that you can take back control of your body and live a life on your own terms. Treatment duration is dependent on the individual’s condition. It can last from 30 minutes to an hour.
The number of sessions differs from patient to patient. It is dependent on the nature and severity of your condition or injury, the goals that you want to achieve e.g. return to sport and the commitment that you put in physiotherapy. In most cases, it takes at least 6 – 8 weeks to recover from soft tissue injuries, whereas the more complicated or chronic condition can take even longer.
Our committed customer service team will help you to book an appointment. We will discuss your need and your preferred location to be seen (e.g. in clinic, home or community).

At HealthJoy Therapy, we will try our utmost to see all the new clients as soon as we can in order to fulfill your needs. In most of the areas, we have immediate availability, this means that you can be seen within 48 hours.
